Zwei Sprachen, du kennst beide

There are so many words in me you’d be afraid

Today I won’t work them. And when I do it’s but to put them to automatic forms. Oh tiredness! Oh clipping! How rough you hit me on the surface. Oh spring! You do lick the spillage from my lips.

Kanadas CD Murks, Sandsack mad Kur,

In Form gebogen, deine Irmela?

Two Sounds, Two Familiar Tongues

¡Oh primavera! Lames el derrame de mis labios.

To record, choose two colors, two scars.
Another entry: the date, the surrounding faces,
deadlines, bullet points, scraps
later formatted in the Chat. Complete
your to-do list. Log your steps. Train good habits
to access success. Two different tongues
like two contradicting lies. One grounded
in breathing, another brought to life
by a machine: both are you.

You write Remember
You remember
two scars to be retold,
a house, a tree, no meal
before the dive bar

She continued to ramble—her story pouring out in waves of admiration—went on until after the fall of the Berlin Wall: long-hair shampoo and heart palpitations as we crashed into the hollow walls. Turn it inside-out, gently pull on the lining. Would you rather have a drink or a lunch? Would you rather bathe or fuck? Nag or rave? Say it on record.

I’ve noticed you are prone to self-destruction;
you self-sabotage by upholding the familiar mirage.
Don’t start it! I am only observing.

Now, do you remember me, bent into a new shape? I was shattered before, but I am standing tall once more, even if for the last time. And when you see me late at night, acknowledge the face and move on. Now, how do you feel

about putting it on paper? Feeding the machine?

Oh otoño! Oh dolor! You can stay with me until words become words again
until they strip my imagination. I’ll wait.
